Central Florida resident and retired U.S. Army Sergeant Pam Kelly had served 17 years in the military when a devastating injury left her a quadriplegic in 2002.
Villagers for Veterans, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans regain their independence, heard Kelly’s story and wanted to help. The organization raised over $300,000 to help build Kelly a home in The Villages, an active adult community in Central Florida.
To outfit the home with resources that would allow Kelly to be independent, the nonprofit reached out to ClosetMaid® for a customizable solution.

ClosetMaid® worked with Kelly to design three storage spaces for her brand-new home: one reach-in bedroom closet, a walk-in closet for her master bedroom and a pantry.

The completed home was presented to Kelly on June 27, 2020.
